Safety in Mossel Bay

Mossel Bay is relatively safe however safety is your responsibility. We encourage our guests to travel in pairs or groups.

Please take note of the following

s Take advice from the locals – especially about where to go after dark.
s Avoid carrying large sums of cash and make sure that your bags and cameras are secured with stout straps.
s Don’t allow strangers to help you at bank teller machines (ATMs) – if you’re unsure of what to do, ask for assistance inside the bank or from your concierge or the manager of your guest house.
s Please don’t give money to children and beggars on the streets.
s Lock your doors whenever you leave your car unattended and, at night, park in well-lit areas.
