Ironman 70.3 Mossel Bay
Mossel Bay offers scenic beauty of the majestic Outeniqua Mountains and the azure blue sea, rolling green hills and pastures, rich agriculture, and culture. Fynbos, aloes, dolphins and whales, a place one can only describe as paradise – a tourists dream. Mossel Bay’s history is unique and was pivotal to the development of the rest of South Africa.
SWIM – The 1.9km swim will start opposite the Santos Beach Pavillion Santos Beach and exiting at De Bakke Beach.
BIKE – Athletes will then transition to a single loop 90km bike course, which traverses George Road, Louis Fourie Road (Direction Albertinia) and the N2, onto the R327 up to the Gouritz River valley (6km prior to Herbertsdale on the R327m before returning to Mossel Bay.
RUN – The final leg is a 21.1km run consisting of two and a half loops that pass landmarks such as the harbour, historic central mossel bay, Dias Museum Complex and the Point, culminating below the Cape Saint Blaize lighthouse.
