Friemersheim - Route12
Founded by a German missionary in the early 19th century and set up as a mission station, it is home to a Dutch Reformed Church built in 1870 and the founders of the Volkwyn chair. It is well known for its beautiful large wildlife murals, painted by local artist, Fourie Ackermann. By bringing the walls to life, Ackermann has put the area back on the map!
Must-do activity: Come visit the missionary church.
