View on 42 provides comfortable self-catering accommodation in Dana Bay, just 1 km from the beach and close to Santos swimming beach. Guests can choose between three rooms:
The Aloe unit offers a queen-size bed, bathroom with bath and shower, fully equipped kitchen, dining table, tea/coffee facilities, clean white linen, and a Webber braai.
The Protea room is separate, features a queen-size bed, bathroom with shower, mini bar fridge, microwave, and tea/coffee amenities, but no kitchen.
The Fynbos Room has its own entrance, queen-size bed, bathroom with shower, mini bar fridge, microwave, and tea/coffee facilities; this is a room only, without kitchen access.
Aloe and Fynbos can be booked together for up to 4 guests, or all three rooms for 6 guests sharing. A tumble dryer, iron, and ironing board are available for guests; no washing machine is provided, but laundromats are nearby. All units are separate from the main house, located on the lower level, accessed via steps, and share a garden area. Accommodation isn’t wheelchair-friendly, but free open parking is available (one vehicle per room) behind an electronic gate.
Dana Bay is in the Cape Floral Kingdom, home to small wildlife and diverse birds. Nearby Mossel Bay offers restaurants, museums, activities, watersports, hiking, and golf. The St Blaize Trail, about 12 km, can be hiked from Dana Bay to Mossel Bay Point.
