History of Great Brak River (est.1859). Human origins exhibit which places the local community in the context of the history of the modern human development. Photographs dating back to 1881. Visits to the village`s restored hydropower station (1924) on request. Suitable for tour groups.

The Great Brak Museum new hours of operation are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9 am to 1 pm. This is a temporary situation as we work on bigger and better projects for the future of our Museum. You may contact us on 064 681 0600 to arrange special visits.

Hours : Mon to Fri 9 am to 3:30 pm

Closed Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays – subject to special arrangements we can accommodate individuals on these days if needed.
