Mayoral Golf Day

The fund is used for various deserving cases such as young people who are chosen to represent their school at Provincial level but cannot afford necessities and travelling costs, instances where shacks have burnt down and a family is left destitute and NGO’s which require assistance with various projects pertaining to the upliftment of the community.

The fund is administered by the Municipality and according to best financial practises in this regard, we may not fund it with ratepayers’ money. The Executive Mayor is therefore completely reliant on fund-raising and donations from the private sector for this purpose.

Over the years, the Mayor’s office organised several fund-raising activities, such as the Mayoral Breakfast, the ICONIC Woman’s Gala Evening and the recent very successful Mayoral Gala. The Mayoral Golf Day is in continuance of this practice.

An appeal is hereby made to you or your company to assist with sponsorship for the event. The function will be a prestigious event with a 4-ball full American Scramble format to match no other at the beautiful Mossel Bay Golf Club (with a view of the sea from every tee), a delicious meal at the prizegiving function along with an auction on various items.
