For the first time in 16 years, a Steam-hauled passenger train will once again travel this iconic coastal line.

Leading the journey will be the magnificent SAR Class 19B No. 1412 “SYLVIA” — built in 1930 and still steaming proudly at 96 years old!

Travel in beautifully restored vintage coaches — each over 100 years old — and experience rail travel as it was meant to be: nostalgic, scenic, and unforgettable.
Enjoy breathtaking coastal views as the train rolls between Hartenbos and Santos Beach in Mossel Bay — the perfect Easter family outing! (remember to pack your swimwear for a dip at Santos Beach!)
